The Swinsty Reservoir Route at Fewston, North Yorkshire is designated as “Easy Access” by Yorkshire Water for disabled people and is approximately 3 miles long.
There are two car parks at Swinsty Reservoir both of which have disabled parking but only one has a disabled toilet which is the Swinsty Moor car park, near Fewston, off the A59 Harrogate/Skipton Road at Blubberhouses and this is the start of the route.
It is important for people with mobility problems to follow the route as indicated on the map as in this direction the inclines are much less severe. The paths consist of both loose gravel and some tarmac pavements. There are also seats and picnic benches along the way to stop and have a rest or a bite to eat.
The route enables disabled people to have a great walk around the reservoir taking in all that the landscape and nature of the area has to offer.
