Culture Recovery Fund

Yorkshire will receive thousands of pounds of investment from the latest round of lifeline grants from the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund and we’re pleased to announce that we’re one of them.Heritage organisations receiving grants in Yorkshire include Experience Community CIC, Slaithwaite, Kirklees with a base in Leeds who received a grant for £58,000. They are a not-for-profit organisation that provides access advice, support and information for physically disabled people to ensure that they have improved opportunities to access heritage, whether natural or manmade.

Craig Grimes, Managing Director, Experience Community CIC said:

“While our activities have been restricted by Coronavirus this year the Culture Recovery Fund will enable us to continue limited activities so that our participants can safely access green space at Leeds Urban Bike Park using specialist off-road mobility equipment such as Mountain Trikes.

“As well as enabling us to deal with the short term here and now issues, it allows us to plan into next year and start to develop new ideas, projects and activities that we can undertake as life, hopefully, returns to some sort of normality.”
